Home remedies for runny nose and excessive sneezing. Some people have dry cough and stuffed nose when they suffer from cold, however some other people suffer from a runny, dripping nose. The eyes are watery, there is constant discharge of watery phlegm from the nose which is cause discomforting. The person may have extreme difficulty in talking to people and may want to stay indoors. Constant sneezing make matters worse. In such a situation, one can get relief if the constant stream of watery phlegm from the nose is stopped.
Lady fingers or Okra : This is a vegetable that contains a sticky substance called mucilage. Wash the okra pods and take out the seeds. Then eat the okra pods after boiling them. Also drink the water in which the okra pods were boiled to prevent any wastage of mucilage.
Hot water : Drink some hot water. It will make the runny nose more runny and make the body release phlegm at a high rate. A lot of phlegm is expelled and the nose and throat is relieved greatly.

Sage tea : Sage is a popular herb which has drying properties. It can dry up the throat and nasal passages and can thus provide relief from runny nose. However, it should not be given for runny nose to babies and kids. Sage should be taken in the form of herbal tea.
