9. De - Clutter Your Apartment
If vacuuming does not get rid of cockroaches, there is need for more thorough cleaning. De clutter your house by doing the following things.
- Get rid of waste paper. Cockroaches like to take shelter in waste cardboards, newspapers and other unused material where they can enjoy undisturbed. If they get hold of such places, they can grow their habitation fast. Within no time, you will be facing an army of cockroaches.
- Clean the refrigerator, oven and food processing equipment for food crumbs sticking to it. Wash these devices down with a wet washcloth. Lemon juice is great for cleansing any metal device.
- Place left over food in zip lock bags and then put them into safe containers with air tight lid. That is the only way to keep roaches away.
- Remove clutter by keeping only items of use at hand. Pack of less used items in bags and place them in cabinets. This provides much more floor space in the house.

If there are thousands of roaches waiting to come up the drains, then pour white vinegar
These are safe and effective remedies to get rid of roaches in the house without using any toxic chemicals. This is also a cheaper than a professional pest removal job.
