1. Cold Treatment
Use anything cold on the wrinkles, like splashing with chilling cold water, rubbing ice or something like that. Cold may initially numb the skin but this makes blood rush to the spot. Nerves are relieved and activated. This simple process daily keeps the skin healthy.
One can notice the difference in skin tautness ( the firmness of skin ) after splashing it with cold water. This simple treatment is highly effective at preventing wrinkles and keeping the face fresh.
- How many times to do this daily ? Wash face with very cold water 3 times a day. And this does not include the wash done for removing makeup ( which should be done with warm water ).
2. Eat less fructose ( a kind of sugar )
Any food product with low quality of nutrients and high on fructose is potentially harmful for your face. Fructose has been identified as a key participant in the process called glycation which is what causes the wrinkles. Glycation actually damages the quality of collagen network in skin. However, it is not clear why it affects face the most.
Avoid eating foods and beverages like coke, packed juices ( with added sugar ) and other such foods. One the other hand, fruits which contain fructose may not be harmful as they are providing us with powerful antioxidants to fight many times the damage.
Simple rule of thumb - Avoid foods with artificially added sugars.
3. Prevent Sun Damage With Tomatoes
Skin is easily damaged by ultraviolet radiation beamed by the sun. These rays penetrate deep into our skin and damage the skin cells through free radical reactions. We can't prevent gong out in the sun, to some extent. To prevent the cellular damage, one needs to take lots of antioxidants in diet.
All antioxidants are not the same. They are all different, and they work better on specific kind of cells. Lycopene, for example, is one of the best natural antioxidants for skin. It protects our skin from sun damage even when there is no sunscreen on.
If you go out in sun often, eat tomatoes all year long. Lycopene from tomatoes is easily absorbed when they are cooked, like in a soup, or home made tomato ketchup. Other ways to include tomatoes in diet - salads, sun dried tomatoes, pureed tomatoes and whatever else you can imagine and cook.
4. Facial Muscle Exercises
Did you know that our face contains 40 - 50 different muscles ? Well, if these muscles remain strained, they affect the skin over it, leading to folding which causes wrinkles. These can be prevented and even relieved by performing facial exercises, like face yoga.
These exercises aim to tone facial muscles so that they don't let the skin sag over them. Don't worry, you won't have to do 40 different exercises. They are about a dozen exercises ( facial expressions ), each of them toning a few muscle groups.
Do this routine 1 time a day. Within a few months, one can find a difference in the appearance of wrinkles.
5. Pomegranate or Watermelon juice ( there is a reason for this combination )
Research indicates that wrinkles may also be the result of Vasoconstriction ( narrowing of blood vessels in the face ). To eliminate this, we have two of the most powerful natural Vasodilators ( things that open up blood vessels ).
They are pomegranate and watermelon.
So, drink 1 - 2 glasses of pomegranate juice or watermelon juice daily. You can drink both, if you like. Watermelons taste nothing short of awesome in summers.
6. Olive oil
This is one of the best remedy for wrinkles because olive oil is found in almost everybody's house. Olive oil is one of the healthiest oils for the skin. It can make wrinkles vanish by regular application in a few months. Do not just dab it on the face or skin where wrinkles area. Use olive oil to gently massage the skin.

7. Avocado oil
This greenish color oil is obtained from avocados. Apply this natural oil on the skin after exfoliating the skin. It regenerates damaged skin cells and reduces wrinkles.
Rose Hip Seed oil : This oil is derived from rose plant. It is incredible and healthy. It has skin regenerative effects like that of avocado oil. So, it can be used to reduce wrinkles.
