6. Take yogurt
It soothes the entire digestive canal and relieves diarrhea. Yogurt contains probiotics known as lactobacillus, which is a strain of bacteria. They immediately boost gut flora and help the intestines deal with the diarrhea better.
Repetitive bowel movements cramp the bowels and they are more prone to release stored material, letting diarrhea continue. Yogurt exerts a soothing and relaxing effect on the entire digestive tract.
The probiotics in yogurt boost immune response in the gut. Did you know that a significant part of our immune system stays busy in the intestinal tract ? They are always wary of pathogens. Healthy bacteria assist the immune system in performing this function. If diarrhea is due to a pathogen, it resolves fast with yogurt, as well as with buttermilk.
