Warm castor oil till it is quite above the skin temperature, but it should not be very hot. Dip suitable volume of wool in castor oil. Squeeze it to drain out excess oil. Now, place it on the inflamed joint. Bandage it with cotton cloth. Avoid polythene, as it is harmful for skin.
Keep it overnight. The bandage should be tight enough for the wool to be pressed against the skin.
